The Village Barn Playhouse is seeking performers for our upcoming fall production:
GIDEON AND THE BLUNDERSNORP AN ADVENTURE MUSICAL

Casting: Non-union / (AEA contracts available upon request)
Performance Dates:
November 13–15
Rehearsals:
November 1–12
Rehearsal schedules will be coordinated as best as possible with actor availability. Please list any major conflicts between November 1–15 when submitting.
Pay: Stipend for local performers/Stipend + gas + lodging for out-of-town performers

• Attach Headshot & Resume
• A slate with your name,and your city of residence,
• Availability/conflicts for Nov. 1–15
• Video of you singing 16–32 bars of a musical theatre piece or folk song
• Comedic monologue of your choice
• Please note any experience with puppetry? (Not necessary but a plus!)

GIDEON & THE BLUNDERSNORP by MICHAEL GORDON SHAPIRO

Gideon and the Blundersnorp combines witty characters and pulse-pounding excitement with a rousing cinematic/medieval-folk score. Underlying the fun is a positive message: what we become in life is fueled by personal character, not social class. Gideon is a stablehand who yearns to join the Royal Cavaliers. Alanna is a young viscountess. Thrown together by chance when they are captured by bandits, the two must first escape those awful bandits & once free, they must face a giant, ornery monster — the terrible Blundersnorp! This production will be put on for young audiences - seeking phsyical performers who enjoy playing mulitiple silly characters, audience interaciton, and bringing stories to life for little ones!
